James Shimanek is a composer, cellist, and recording artist. At the age of 9 he started studying piano and 2 years later decided to switch to cello. There was something about the cello that drew him in that gave him a feeling of being complete, like it was a part of him that had been missing. At the age of 9 he was inspired to write music after watching the movie Amadeus. He was so impressed by Mozart’s ability to write music he felt he had the ability in him too. James has written over 60 compositions from cello solos to symphonies. He has recorded and released several singles and is in the process of making his first album.
